Say hello to the Lehigh Valley’s newest and hottest restaurant: The Flying Pig Tavern. This tavern and tap is located at 1313 Center Street in Bethlehem, PA, in the former Tailgaters Bar spot. This is the second location for Flying Pig Tavern, the first having been opened in Bordentown, NJ. Owned and operated by partners, including the owners of Billy’s Downtown Diner restaurants, The Flying Pig Tavern serves up modern American cuisine, signature craft cocktails, and a can’t miss mascot: Winky.
When Phoodie Media teamed up with Flying Pig Tavern, our major goal was to build anticipation. We used a localized strategy to help make Winky & company one of, if not the, most hyped restaurant openings in Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley. Local Facebook groups were regularly targeted to show the progress of construction inside and outside the building. We also emphasized a major role the restaurant will have in being a part of the community. Any restaurant can serve food. Only successful restaurants create a niche and place within their communities. Phoodie Media was able to carve out just that for Flying Pig Tavern.
Now, this restaurant has reached over 47,000 on Facebook, including more than 46,000 profile visits and 2,200 followers and growing. Instagram has hit over 28,000 accounts with 7,500 profile visits and is closing in on 2,000 followers. Targeted advertising directly in a 20 mile radius is largely attributed to a quarter of their reach and almost a third of Facebook followers. Aside from pay-per-click advertising, their profiles’ video Reels content has hit a sweet spot with followers and non-followers. Their average Reels video has reaches more than 3,000 followers, a phenomenal reach for a new restaurant that’s been open for under a month.
